Ant And Dec Set To Sign New ITV Deal, Ending Speculation They Would Quit Network

Their new three-year contract is rumoured to be worth a whopping £30m.

Ant and Dec are poised to sign a new deal with ITV, ending speculation they may quit the broadcaster to join an on-demand service.

The duo sparked rumours they may leave shows including ‘Saturday Night Takeaway’ and ‘I’m A Celebrity’ to join Amazon Prime or Netflix earlier this year, when they said they were unsure about returning to ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ as their current contract was up for renewal.

However, they have now told The Mirror that they are about to seal the deal on a new three-year contract, which is said to be worth £30 million.

Dec also admitted that other projects they had considered - including an Amazon or Netflix show, a theatre tour and and a new sitcom - were now on the back burner.

The 40-year-old stars, who shot to fame as teenagers on the children’s show ‘Byker Grove’, raked in over £7million last year from the three companies responsible for their TV business activities, according to Companies House.

Ant pocketed £3million in the year to the end of June, while Dec raked in slightly more with earnings of £3.38million.

Dec also made just under £3m in investments and got a cash injection from disposing of an unknown asset for £1.76million.

This meant his shared at his company Deecourt topped a huge £12.4million, while Ant’s shareholder funds at Teecourt are worth £12.3million.
