Rescue Cat With No Ears Becomes Therapy Animal For Woman With Anxiety

'He definitely rescued me, I didn’t rescue him.'

A graduate who recently adopted a rescue cat with no ears says her anxiety improved as a result.

Molly Lichtenwalner adopted Otitis from a rescue centre because she found having a pet improved her symptoms in the past.

She used to have a deaf puppy, so Otitis, who had his ears removed due to severe cysts, immediately caught her eye.

The pair have been inseparable since and Lichtenwalner shares regular updates of their life together on the Instagram account @adventuresofotitis.

Lichtenwalner found Otitis at The Feline Rescue Association of Baltimore.

She began suffering from severe anxiety and panic attacks after being involved in a car accident, but says Otitis helps sooth her with constant snuggles.

“He is some times the only thing that can calm me down. He’s the best thing I ever did and he definitely rescued me, I didn’t rescue him,” she told Bored Panda

“Living with him is an absolute dream! He is the most loving, snuggly cat and he makes me feel so loved.”
