Celebrity Big Brother’ has already attracted more than 80 Ofcom complaints, after Marnie Simpson exposed herself to fellow housemate Saira Khan.

Fans of the Channel 5 reality series were outraged when the ‘Geordie Shore’ star flashed her breasts in her co-star’s face, after being set a dare by Lewis Bloor, with many calling for her to be removed.

Since the scenes aired on on Sunday (31 July) night’s episode, the broadcasting watchdog has received 86 complaints from viewers, and is now assessing whether to investigate the programme.

While viewers were angered over the incident - which many deemed to be akin to sexual harassment, pointing out that Aaron Frew was removed from last year’s civilian series of ‘Big Brother’ over a similar incident - Marnie escaped punishment from ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ producers.

She did attempt to apologise to Saira, telling the ‘Loose Women’ panellist: “It wasn’t supposed to offend you it was just a joke, it was just a dare.”

Saira insisted she was “fine” about the incident, but later said in a conversation with James Whale: “That’s fine but it’s not how I live my life but I’m not going to accept it. Instead of being sorry why don’t you choose not to create an issue in the first place.”

A ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ spokesperson declined to comment when approached by HuffPost UK.

‘Celebrity Big Brother’ airs tonight at 9pm on Channel 5.
