Heartwarming Meeting Between Two Kids On A Beach Proves Friendship Doesn't Have To Be Complicated

'This world would be a much better place if we acted like these two.'

A mother has shared a heartwarming story of the moment her daughter met a little boy on the beach and they became instant best friends.

Ayanna Toye Barrows said she was taking a sunset walk with her daughter when a little boy walked up and showed her his shark tooth necklace.

"He tells her his name and asks her name, to which she tells him," the mother explained.

"They part ways while saying goodbye, walking in the opposite direction.

"A few minutes later he comes running back, in what seems to be slow motion, yelling out my daughter's name.

"She turns around and is greeted by his smile and they share a few words, mainly about his super cool shark's tooth that apparently gave him powers."

Barrows said after the kids walked, talked and laughed together, she asked the boy's mother if she could take a picture.

"No one positioned them, told them to smile and there was absolutely no hesitation on their part at all," she wrote.

"When we finished walking and it was time to go they hugged for a long time and exchanged about 20 'goodbyes'.

"This is a moment that we humans understand as just simply seeing no colour lines, no judgement, no race, no hate, no shades.

"It's just pure. Two kids meeting on a sunset walk without a care in the world and all they saw was each other.

"This world would be a much better place if we acted like these two kids."

Barrows shared the photo of her daughter and the boy on Love What Matters Facebook page on Wednesday 13 April.

The post was shared 30,000 times and liked by 169,000 people in just 18 hours.

"What a better world it would be," someone wrote. "It brought tears to my eyes. Children have unconditional love."

Another person wrote: "I love the innocence of their encounter and the beauty of their world.

"A little slice of heaven on Earth right there for sure. I hope that picture gets printed and put into your daughter's memory box."

Others were devising a long-term love story for the kids.

"I want these two to go their separate ways then in 15 years they're in college and they have a class together," someone wrote.

"She tells him her name and he says 'I met a girl named that on the beach when I was little'.

"And she says that she met a boy with his name on the beach who showed her a special shark tooth necklace.

"They date and fall in love and get married on the very same beach."
