Christopher Biggins Puts 'Celebrity Big Brother' Controversy Behind Him As He Returns To TV

And he wasn't exactly full of praise for Gillian McKeith or Janice Dickinson.

Christopher Biggins has made his first TV appearance since his controversial stint in the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ house earlier this year.

Over the summer, Biggins came under fire for a number of remarks, including a comment about the Holocaust, which wasn’t shown on TV, and later for his views on bisexual people and the spread of HIV.

Since his removal from ‘CBB’, Biggins has been keeping a fairly low profile, but finally appeared on television after a three-month absence to discuss the upcoming series of ‘I’m A Celebrity’.

Chatting to Kate Garraway and Ben Shephard, Biggins recalled his own jungle experience back in 2007.

He explained: “I went in on a live trial with the awful Janice Dickinson, who I’d never met before, and I heard her screaming in the jungle as I was waiting behind a bush to go on.

“Then I met her, and I thought she was quite nice, but she did nothing, she did absolutely nothing. And of course, when you do nothing in the jungle, it’s disastrous.”

Discussing past contestants, he went on to joke: “I wasn’t in the jungle with Gillian McKeith, but if I had been I know exactly where I would have murdered her and placed her body. She was so awful to the other contestants.”

Following his ‘CBB’ exit, Biggins had initially been scheduled to appear on ‘This Morning’, but pulled out at the last minute.

Although he has only just returned to TV, he has made a handful of public appearances, including one film premiere, during which he told reporters he suspected ‘CBB’ bosses had wanted him out from the beginning.

‘Good Morning Britain’ airs weekdays from 6am on ITV.
