Will Carla get her happy ending?

Ahead of her exit, Alison has hinted at how things will develop, discussing her final days on 'Corrie' and revealing her post-Weatherfield plans.

Speaking of her exit, she tells Huffington Post UK: "It’s very emotional and very exciting.

"It has danger and a lot more unexpected things that it ties up, including a lot of stories and relationships. There are feuds and it’s a really nice pace."

So what next?

"Just a bit of a break," Alison offers. "I need to accept that this job is finished, before everything else.

"I need to have a rest, and spend some more time with daughter, and get lots of jobs done at home that I haven’t in the last ten years."

Alison's final episodes air from Monday 23 May. Catch up on all the latest soap news and spoilers here
