‘Coronation Street’ viewers are in for a treat next week, when two of Weatherfield’s most-loved families are at the centre of some seriously dramatic episodes.
One of them is the Platts, and David will be the catalyst that pushes them towards life-changing events, the exact details of which are being kept under wraps by bosses.
This week, we will see Gail Platt discover a farewell video he has made for the children, after finding out that Kylie’s killer may not face justice.
Helen Worth’s character will then enlist the help of her other two children, Nick and Sarah, in a desperate bid to stop David from doing anything too drastic.
She decides to lock him in the bistro cellar, but that’s not enough to stop him.
At the final moment, will David manage to outwit his mum, and how far will he go in his bid to do so?
While bosses are keeping tight-lipped on exactly what will happen, we’ve been promised a week of unforgettable television, and events that will change Weatherfield for good.
Elsewhere on the cobbles, the newly-reunited Barlow family will also face potential turmoil when tension between Peter and Ken reaches breaking point.
