Bill Ward is set to become the latest star to leave ‘Emmerdale’, according to reports.
The actor has played James Barton for three years, but it’s believed his time in the Dales is about to come to an end.
The Sun claims that James will be killed off as part of an upcoming storyline.
When contacted by The Huffington Post UK, an ‘Emmerdale’ spokesperson declined to comment on the reports.
It’s shaping up to a big year for the soap in terms of cast changes.
Last month, viewers bid farewell to Andy Sugden and it’s rumoured that Sophie Powles, who plays Holly Barton, is also set to leave.
There have been new recruits though, including Michael Praed, who plays Frank, the father of both Vanessa and Tracey.
‘Britain’s Got Talent’ winner George Sampson also made his first appearance earlier this year, while a new Faith Dingle is set to arrive in the coming months.
