The first performance of the two-part ‘Harry Potter And The Cursed Child’ play was given last night (7 June), and those lucky enough to nab tickets for the first night of previews were delighted with what they saw.

Don’t worry, we’re not about to disobey JK Rowling and reveal any spoilers, but it’s safe to say that the play gets a huge thumbs up from fans speaking afterwards, as seen in the video above.

When asked what they thought of the production, one theatre-goer offered: “It was brilliant, it was like a magic show but a play at the same time.”

“I’m still trying to process what I thought,” another says. “I’m mind-boggled, but I thought it was amazing.”

There’s been plenty of hype surrounding ‘Harry Potter And The Cursed Child’, which picks up right where the last book’s epilogue left off.

Speaking ahead of the previews, author JK Rowling assured fans of the ‘Harry Potter’ books and films that they wouldn’t be left feeling let down, stating: “It was 17 years and just because I’ve stopped on the page doesn’t mean my imagination stopped.

“It’s like running a very long race. You can’t just stop dead at the finishing line.

“I think that, as a theatrical experience, as a play, it will be unlike anything people have seen before.”
