'X Factor': Honey G Brands Cultural Appropriation 'Most Ridiculous Thing She's Ever Heard'

She also opens up about her own experiences of being discriminated against.

‘X Factor’ novelty rapper Honey G has once again dismissed claims of cultural appropriation, branding it “the most ridiculous thing” she’s ever encountered.

Throughout her time on the ITV talent show, Honey G’s performances have been criticised by some viewers, who feel that she’s guilty of sending up black culture for laughs.

While the aspiring star has hit back at this on numerous occasions, she’s now taken further steps to distance herself from claims of cultural appropriation.

Honey G went on to discuss discrimination she has faced herself as a Jewish woman, adding: “I’ve experienced it the whole of my life.

Until last weekend, despite mixed reviews from viewers, Honey G had managed to sail through to the competition without landing in the sing-off.

That all changed in the most recent results show though, when she was forced to compete for her spot on the show against Ryan Lawrie, who was ultimately booted off the competition.
