'I'm A Celebrity' 2016: Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini Speaks Out Over Line-Up Rumours

Quel dommage!

Cheryl Fernandez-Versini’s ex-husband, Jean-Bernard, has addressed rumours that he’s heading into the ‘I’m A Celebrity’ jungle for this year’s series.

The former couple’s split was one of the year’s biggest celebrity stories, with reports suggesting just weeks ago that ITV were planning to capitalise on the public’s interest by recruiting the French restaurateur for the reality show.

However, despite rumours claiming he wanted to use the show “to build up his reputation”, he’s now insisted this is not the case.

An insider initially told Now magazine: “[Jean-Bernard would] really like to become a UK TV personality. When he was with Cheryl he shunned the limelight but now he wants to build up his reputation.”

While Jean-Bernard may be out, a host of celebrities have been linked with a spot on the next series of ‘I’m A Celebrity’, including Olympic gymnast Louis Smith and UKIP leader Nigel Farage.

The latest famous name tipped to appear on the show is gold medallist swimmer Ryan Lochte, who proved to be this year’s most controversial Olympian when he became involved in an international scandal.

However, his spot on the show looks unlikely, as he’s already reportedly signed up for the next series of ‘Dancing With The Stars’ (the US equivalent of ‘Strictly Come Dancing’).
