Jamie Dornan Leaves 'Fifty Shades Of Grey' Series: 'I'm Finished With It'

Turns out Mr Grey won't see you now, after all.

Jamie Dornan has revealed he’s bowing out of the ‘Fifty Shades’ franchise, despite the fact there is still one book in the series yet to be adapted for the big screen.

Throughout his career, Jamie has been praised for his appearances in the likes of TV drama ‘The Fall’ and fantasy series ‘Once Upon A Time’, but critics were less kind when he appeared as the lead in the first ‘Fifty Shades’ film.

With filming on the sequels ‘Fifty Shades Darker’ and ‘Fifty Shades Freed’ now complete, Jamie has now revealed he’s hanging up his handcuffs and blindfold, and stepping away from the role of Christian Grey, despite the fact there’s still potential for a fourth film, as author E.L. James later penned ‘Grey’.

The first ‘Fifty Shades’ film, in which Jamie stars opposite Dakota Johnson’s Anastasia Steele, was dragged by reviewers, but was ultimately a commercial success, with big screen versions of ‘Fifty Shades Darker’ and ‘Fifty Shades Freed’ slated to hit cinemas over the next two years.

Defending his and Dakota’s performances in a recent interview, Jamie insisted: “They wouldn’t have shot the film with us if there was a chemistry problem . . . whatever chemistry means. You have to jump through a lot of hoops to get a part like this, and they simply wouldn’t have cast us.”
