When you’re as fearsome as Janet Street Porter is, it’s almost impossible to believe she is scared of anything or anyone. Turns out that’s not the case.
The ‘Loose Women’ panellist has revealed one female celebrity who she is “terrified” of - Dame Maggie Smith.
Janet made the revelation while chatting to The Huffington Post UK on the red carpet of the ITV Gala.
When we asked her and co-host Linda Robson who their dream ‘Loose Woman’ would be, the ‘Birds Of A Feather’ star quickly proclaimed the ‘Downton Abbey’ actress would be a great addition.
Janet then admitted: “I met her once at the Evening Standard Drama Awards a couple of years ago and she’s one of the few women who I was really terrified of, and there are very few women who I am terrified of.”
However, Linda was quick to insist Janet is also terrified of her, something which we’re not sure if we believe.
Janet also spoke about Loose Women’s ridiculous Britney Spears edition, which saw the panel receiving a dance lesson from the US superstar.
“She really enjoyed herself,” she said. “I think she was really nervous beforehand, but on the show she really chilled out and she had a great time.
“My dancing was so crap, but I don’t do that dancing because I’m so old. I do different dancing,” she joked.
