If you're looking for the best bits of post-Eurovision Twitter on a Sunday morning, look no further than JK Rowling.

While others crack jokes about the fallout of Saturday night's contest,

The Harry Potter author backed the winning entry from Ukraine but said she was alarmed how her husband of 14 years voted.

She tweeted: "My husband just told me he voted for Poland while I was making tea. A reminder that you never *really* know another human being."

Neil Murray, father of Rowling's son David, was not alone - the UK awarded Poland 10 points in the contest.

Presenter Clare Balding said his vote "explains it all".

'Captain Hook' began trending on Twitter as Michal Szpak sang Poland's entry, as his beard and red coat earned him comparisons to the pirate.

Rowling made her views on the entry clear when Scottish journalist Alex Massie called it "the *very* best and most Eurovisionish".

Rowling's reply was brief.

Earlier, Rowling said France had the edge, prompting a spat with Orkney Library who accused her of drinking.
