Topshop Unique LFW September 16 Arrivals

Victoria’s Secret Angel Taylor Hill kicked off proceedings on the runway.

(This was actually the second tweet Topshop sent to announce Taylor’s entrance as rather awkwardly they tagged a random man who happens to be called Taylor Hill the first time!)

This season the look was inspired by the Punk and New Romantic aesthetics of the mid-80s, as well as the artwork of Linda Sterling.

Speaking to Vogue, Kate Phelan, creative director at Topshop, explained the “see now, buy now” model: “puts to bed some of the assumptions that the high street is following fashion. I think it will breathe more individuality and you will feel that there is a more independent spirit to brands which is a positive thing.”
