Over the years the VMAs has given us some of the most outrageous outfits of all time, from Lady Gaga’s meat dress to the time Rose McGowan went practically naked.

But this year’s choices were surprisingly demure - apart from Baddie Winkie’s jewel-encrusted crotch.
