A grateful mother has praised a stranger who offered to cut up her breakfast so she could eat while breastfeeding her son.
It was the first time Briar Lusia Mcqueen had headed out for breakfast alone with her eight-week-old, and she hadn't realised it was going to prove difficult.
"I had just received my breakfast and hot chocolate when Jaxon started crying wanting his booby so of course I fed him," she wrote on Facebook on 31 May.
"After a few minutes this older lady walked up to me and I was scared, thinking she was gonna tell me to put my boob away," Mcqueen continued.
"Instead she starts cutting up my breakfast for me.
"She said: 'What a good mama you are, we can't have your food getting cold can we?'.
"I honestly could have cried, she was the loveliest lady ever."
In just two days, Mcqueen's post has been shared more than 10,000 times and received nearly 270,000 likes.
There are more than 12,000 comments on the post, with people writing how "amazing" the lady was to come over and help.
"I am crying what a hero this lady is," one person wrote. "I wish everyone was this kind."
Another mother commented: "Wonderful lady. I never had a hot meal while mine were small. Very thoughtful."
