Shoe Brand Office Tell Female Customers To Shave Their Legs

And people are not happy about it.

Shoe brand Office has come under fire for a "sexist" online newsletter.

The subject line of the email was "Show a little leg", while the tagline below read: "Just don't forget to shave them."

A British woman called Katy, who goes by the online username AliceInWonderland3, took to Mumsnet to vent her frustrations.

"Am I being unreasonable to not want a business who wants female customers telling them they need to shave their legs?" she wrote.

"I shave my legs because I know people I encounter day-to-day will be horrified by body hair on a woman, but I don't need a business trying to make me feel bad if I choose to go outside without doing so.

"Or trying to make me feel disgusted by something natural."

Speaking to the Mail Online, the 24-year-old revealed that she thinks the email was "sexist" and "unacceptable".

"Companies that want women to buy their products should be positive towards women, not trying to make them feel insecure about their bodies," she added.

The Huffington Post UK has contacted an Office spokesperson for comment.
