Phillip Schofield has suffered a blow, as his hypnotist show ‘You’re Back In The Room’ has been axed.

According to The Sun, the Saturday night series will not return for a third run, having suffered declining ratings.

The show, which saw guests hypnotised by Keith Barry, started out with around four million people tuning in, but figures fell for the second series.

A source told the paper: “The show got mixed reviews but not bad ratings at first but ultimately the balance between great names and keen people couldn’t keep going.

“They’re sad it’s dying a death as there’s not really a show of its kind on telly right now, but after two series it had done its job.”

An ITV spokesperson declined to comment when contacted by HuffPost UK.

It’s not all bad news for Phillip though, as the insider also claimed he has new projects coming up for the channel.

As well as the host of ‘This Morning’, Phillip also presents ‘All Star Mr & Mrs’ and ‘The Cube’ for ITV.
