Rhea’s unusual appearance didn’t stop 23-year-old Isabella Eisenmann from Boston jumping at the chance to adopt her.
A local vet posted a picture of the lovebird on Facebook, explaining the animal needed a home.
“They called me and told me that I was first on the list and they wanted me to keep her,” Eisenmann told Buzzfeed. “The next day she came back with me and it’s been amazing since then.”

Since being re-homed, Rhea has picked up a 123,000-strong following on Facebook, and has made friends with Eisenmann’s dog, Nickie.
