Some “ill-advised ventures into reality television” news now, as reports suggest that the three remaining members of the Spice Girls are looking to the great British public to fill in the gaps left by Victoria Beckham and Melanie C.

However, after getting off to a shaky start with their debut as ‘Spice Girls GEM’ (which consisted of a YouTube video that made ‘Spice World’ look like a cinematic masterpiece), it seems things could now be about to take even more of a downward turn.

This comes after it was confirmed that Gary Barlow is teaming up with the BBC to help find a new group of male performers to play a boyband in a jukebox musical based on the songs of Take That.

‘Let It Shine’ will follow on from shows like ‘Over The Rainbow’, ‘Any Dream Will Do’ and ‘How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria?’ in that the public will choose from a batch of aspiring singers, with the winners landing a spot on the West End stage.
