Susanna Reid, Gogglebox’s Steph And Dom And George Shelley Speak Out On Stand Up To Bullying Day

'No one should ever lie in bed hoping they won’t wake up because of bullying.'

A whole host of celebrities including Susanna Reid, former Union J singer George Shelley and ‘Gogglebox’ stars Steph and Dom have come together to support National Stand Up To Bullying Day.

Today (Tuesday 5 July) marks the first ever national #StandUpToBullyingDay in the UK, in honour of The Diana Award, a charity founded in memory of Princess Diana.

To mark the occasion many stars have recorded Boomerang Instagram videos of them (literally) standing up to bullying.

The campaign highlights that bullying exists at home, in our wider communities and online.

Other celebs involved in the campaign include Rio Ferdinand, Leona Lewis, Anthony Cotton and Nathan Sykes, who are putting on a unified front to spread the message and raise awareness, highlighting that everyone has a role to play in tackling the problem.

Together, they announce: “No one should ever lie in bed at night, hoping they won’t wake up because of bullying. On Tuesday 5th July, we want you to stand up to bullying.”
