Jeremy McConnell has broken his silence on ex-girlfriend Stephanie Davis' apparent claims she is pregnant with his child.
The 'Celebrity Big Brother' star, who began dating the former 'Hollyoaks' actress following their stint on the Channel 5 reality show earlier this year, has vowed to stick by her, but has insisted: "A kid can't fix a broken relationship."
Stephanie shocked fans earlier this week when she claimed in a now-deleted Instagram comment that she was pregnant, with Jeremy having since reacted to the news on Twitter.
Posting a lengthy message, he wrote: "First of all I think it's ridiculous this being on social media as it's no one's business. But this is what I have to deal with, and clear my name.
"Just to clear if what is circulating is true, I'll always be responsible for my actions and I explained to Steph I'll speak to her, and do everything for her, if she stops drinking and partying knowing she's 'pregnant'," he continued.
"I'm sick of tit for tat but I won't let anyone slander me, I haven't been ideal in the relationship what so ever, I'm trying to move on peacefully, it's a shock to most, but a kid can't fix a broken relationship."
In her deleted Instagram comment, Stephanie had said: "Yeah, loved him unconditionally, after a week of hell and late phone calls and pain he’s caused I still kept my phone so I could help him, find out I’m pregnant and he says he doesn’t love me anymore and blocked.
“He never wanted a smaller in a broken home. He won’t be there, only for the baby... Not me.”
Jeremy later took a veiled swipe at his ex on Twitter, writing the blunt message: “The loudest in the room is weakest.”
He also liked a tweet from one fan who agreed with him, which read: “Tired of all the things Steph said about you and deleting the minute after, we need to know your side of the story.”
