'Strictly Come Dancing': Ore Oduba And Danny Mac Bag 40 Points For Their Showdances

That mirror. Those jumps. THOSE DRAPES.

This year’s ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ showdances were worth the wait, with all three of the couples in the final pulling out all the stops to show us all what they’ve learned over the past 13 weeks.

Ore Oduba and Joanne Clifton were up first, giving us a taste of old Hollywood with their routine, set to George and Ira Girshwin’s ‘I Got Rhythm’.

Len Goodman was particularly impressed with Ore’s abilities, telling him he encompassed “the spirit of ‘Strictly’”, with all four judges choosing to give the pair a 10.

Up next were Louise Redknapp and Kevin Clifton, putting on a more modern and emotional routine accompanied by Whitney Houston’s ‘One Moment In Time’.

The performance allowed the pair to showcase a lot of lifts, which Kevin noted they hadn’t had the opportunity to showcase much of on the dance floor, though Bruno Tonioli put it best when he offered the cheesiest line of the night, telling them: “The biggest lift was the one you gave to my heart”.

Their showdance fared slightly less well than Ore and Joanne’s, though, bagging 38 of a possible 40 points.

Concluding the showdance routines were Danny Mac and Oti Mabuse, recovering from a rather shaky start to the final, in which the judges noted an unfortunate blunder.

However, they were able to prove themselves as worthy finalists with their intense routines, which centred around a giant mirror in the middle of the dance floor, ending in Danny pushing the frame over his partner, who swiftly jumped into his arms.

Getting things back on track, they too bagged 40 points from the judges, who were all completely bowled over by the routine.
