A toddler and his pet dog couldn't believe their eyes when they saw an intruder waddle across their front garden.

Sam and his pup friend were transfixed by a duck that had wandered in front of their house and the adorable moment was captured on film by Sam's mum.

It's hard to tell who's more excited, Sam or the dog, as they jostle each other for prime viewing position.
