When Does 'X Factor' 2016 Start? ITV Confirm Date For New Series

And there's less than two weeks to go!

X Factor’ fans rejoice! We now have a start date for the new series - and there is not long to wait.

ITV have confirmed that the 13th run of the talent show will kick off with a double bill, beginning on Saturday 27 August at 8pm, and continuing on Sunday

And to celebrate the fact the first episode is less than two weeks away, bosses have also released a new teaser trailer.

The ad features audition footage from the new series, as judges Simon Cowell, Sharon Osbourne, Louis Walsh and Nicole Scherzinger and host Dermot O’Leary singing along to Girls Aloud’s ‘Something Kinda Oooh’.

The new series has seen the show undergo a number of changes, including the departures of judges Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, Nick Grimshaw and Rita Ora, and co-presenters Caroline Flack and Olly Murs.

Matt Edmonson and Rylan Clark-Neal are also stepping in to replace Rochelle Humes and Melvin Odoom as hosts of ‘The Xtra Factor’, which will air live from the very first episode this year.

Viewers were recently treated to a full-length clip from the upcoming series, which sees Nicole back to her usual antics as she gives one hopeful an enthusiastic reaction to his self-penned hit.
