Woman Prints Out Facebook Comments To Read On The Subway

10/10 for effort

A commuter in New York has broken the internet after printing out comments on a Facebook post to read on her journey.

Although some subway stations in Manhattan do offer free Wi-Fi, the service is notoriously patchy, and it seems this woman has decided to take matters into her own hands.

The unidentified woman, who made Facebook retro in ways we didn’t know were possible, was photographed with a “15 page” pamphlet of comments.

The picture was taken by Alex Steinman, a social media editor, when she noticed the woman fully engrossed in the comments thread.

Since being posted just 48 hours ago it has since gone viral, reaching more than 11,000 retweets and 22,000 likes.

Although presumably the woman will never know just how popular her Facebook activity has become, unless she prints her tweets too.

One commenter said: “Screw Facebook she makes her own algorithms.”

Another said: “When she’s done can she fax them to me?”

Despite the obvious implications for the environment of printing all of our social media interactions, some people said maybe she is on to something given how much Facebook can encroach on our privacy.
