After welcoming Sharon Osbourne, Louis Walsh and Nicole Scherzinger back to the ‘X Factor’ judging panel, it seems Simon Cowell is engineering the return of another familiar face, in the form of Mel B.
The former ‘X Factor’ judge is reportedly set to assist the music mogul at the Judges’ Houses stage - no one tell Sinitta, OK? - after impressing while stepping in when Nicole couldn’t make some of this year’s room auditions.
A source explains to The Sun: “Simon is hungrier than ever to win and wants Mel’s caustic and honest advice to spice up the ITV series.
Meanwhile, his fellow panellists have also already picked their helpers, with Nicole going for Calvin Harris, Louis Walsh roping in Alesha Dixon, and Sharon Osbourne calling up her LA neighbour Robbie Williams.
This year’s series has got off to a slow start since beginning last month, with the lowest launch show figures in ten years.
Things picked up a little in the following weeks, though the viewing figures still couldn’t match those achieved by ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ or ‘The Great British Bake Off’.
