Simon Cowell has promised plenty of changes for the latest series of ‘The X Factor’. But despite mixing up the panel and some elements of the format, we can guarantee one thing will remain the same - the music.

Despite the charts being packed full of contemporary hits, it’s still the dreary old songs that are being trotted out every week, which won’t exactly help the series feel fresh.

Thus, we here at HuffPost UK have put together a list of songs that bosses really should consider banning. After all, there is only so many versions of old Whitney classics we’re willing to put up with.

And while we’re all it, the producers are not much better when it comes to picking songs to put over auditions VTs and montages either, with a small pool of ditties used in constant rotation. So here’s another 30 to whack on that banned list, in no particular order:
