Runner-up Deone has since been announced as her replacement, admitting she supports the organisation’s decision to take Zara’s title.
She told The Mirror she “saw it coming”, explaining: “We are supposed to be role models for young girls and represent our chosen charities - she knew this.
"Zara has been in the pageant industry a long time. She would have known all of this. She knew the difficult situation she would have been putting the organisers in… nobody is saying she did anything wrong. She is a young girl enjoying life but under these circumstances, she can't be a title-holder.”
Since Zara had her title taken away, almost 10,000 people have signed a petition with the hope that the pageant will reinstate her.
Zara left ‘Love Island’ over the weekend, after learning that her mum had taken ill, with producers leaving the door open for her return, should she wish to come back later in the series.
