Evgeny Lebedev is the owner of The Independent and i newspapers as well as the London Evening Standard. Under his ownership and management, the Evening Standard has turned from losing £30 million annually three years ago to making a profit in 2012. He launched i two years ago and now has a circulation of 300,000. He is also a journalist in his own right, having written for GQ, Vanity Fair, the Guardian and his own newspapers.
