Francesca Segal is a freelance writer and journalist. Her first novel, The Innocents, a contemporary novel of manners set in north-west London, was awarded the 2012 Costa First Novel Award and the 2012 National Jewish Book Award for Fiction. Her work has appeared in Newsweek, Granta, the Guardian, the Financial Times, and Vogue UK and US, amongst many others. She has been a features writer at Tatler, and for three years wrote the Debut Fiction column in the Observer.
