As a founding member of UK Flood Barriers, Frank identified a gap in the market for affordable, effective flood defences. With over 20 years’ experience in the construction industry managing projects as diverse as major civil engineering projects to house building, his focus on value engineering has given him a passion for this new sector.

The rapid expansion of UKFB resulted in the global arm, Global Flood Defence Systems (GFDS), being established in 2010. As the visionary of the group Frank was rewarded with the position of CEO with a remit to develop the next generation flood protection technology and to deliver this to a global market. Acknowledging that research and development are vital elements of the emerging flood defence sector, Frank devoted significant time and investment into developing a world class research and testing centre in Worcestershire, putting the group of companies at the forefront of innovation.

Today the business employs over 30 members of staff and is continuing to expand with Frank at the helm, with new and innovative products constantly being researched and launched onto the global market.
