No.But since you asked, and for those of you are not that interested but want to sound like you have been reading the Washington Post everyday, then here is a summary as to why he wont win in ten easy steps...

No.

But since you asked, and for those of you are not that interested but want to sound like you have been reading the Washington Post everyday, then here is a summary as to why he wont win in ten easy steps...

1. He made Newt Gingrinch and Rick Santorum look like contenders

Gingrich is a 3 times married dinosaur of 1990s politics and Rick Santorum, well, where do you start. It appears that Rick was using Muammar Gaddafi's former political advisors and speechwriters to give his campaign that fundamentalist regime polish and rhetoric on values that he always wanted. The point is, Romney should have wrapped up this kind of opposition in February and yet here we are in April and Gingrich still hasn't quit.

2. False economy

Granted, the economy in the US has been bad for a long time and this hit President Obama hard. But the economy is picking up and, most importantly, voters are starting to notice. If the economy carries on this trajectory and Romney keeps trying to convince people the economy is screwed, people will be less likely to believe him than they do already.

3. People don't like him.

An ABC News/Washington Post poll told us that a record number of Americans, 50%, see Mitt unfavourably and that only 34% actually said that they liked him. Compare this to his Republican predecessor, John McCain who had a a favourability rating of around 60% (according to a Gallup Poll) when he went up against Obama in 2008. Romney needs a serious public relations campaign if he hopes to turn voters opinions around.

4. People like his wife more than they like him.

Ann Romney has been winning support on the campaign trail for having empathy and authenticity - two things that Mitt hasn't exactly mastered. Such is her profile that Romney's campaign has deemed her the secret campaign weapon that will take them to the Whitehouse. All I would say is, if you are pointing to the candidate's wife for help this early, you know you are in trouble.

5. Republicans don't even like him.

One thing that the Republicans proved in getting everyone's favourite Texas cowboy elected in '00 and '04 is that the party's core support always gets to the polls. With Romney, I am not so sure. Since 2008 the more extreme right wing Tea Party branch has been tearing the Republican Party to pieces. The right wing of the Republican Party has never really liked him and this could well mean that, come November, these voters wont be skipping their NRA rally to cast their vote.

6. Women don't like the Republicans right now.

Right now the Republican Party looks like a bunch of older white men who are debating and trying to dictate policy on issues like abortion and access to birth control like it is the1950s. It also doesn't help that the Republican broadcaster Rush Limbaugh called a young woman a "slut" for going to Capitol Hill to make the case for contraceptive coverage. A Washington Post/ABC news poll of registered women voters shows that Obama is leading Romney by 57% to 38% and this gap is even greater among women with a college education. Mitt desperately needs more support from women and quickly because right now its just too easy for the Democrats.

7. Epic General Motors fail.

Uh...yeah, how to be elected President 101. Don't tell everyone who will listen that GM should fail before thinking through the consequences. Now that GM is back in shape and doing well Mitt faces the task of winning back the votes of, oh I don't know, ANYONE EMPLOYED IN MANUFACTURING.

8. Romney likes Obamacare

When Obama's healthcare reforms will be such a major issue between Democrats and Republicans it makes it trickier when the Republican presidential nominee sort of supports the reforms. The only saving grace is that Romney might still win some votes by people protesting at Obamacare.

9. Obama hasn't spent the last 9 months having to eat pancakes every day.

There is no doubt that the Republican campaign has only really served in increasing the levels of obesity amongst the candidates and their staff as they choke down pancakes by the plateful in every campaign stop. The serious point in all of this is that Mitt just can't catch a break. Obama, on the other hand has been enjoying the pancakes cooked by his White House chef for the last few months storing up his energy and stockpiling cash just waiting to strike.

10. Obama is cooler.

Obama is like Al Green...

Romney is more like I-Robot. Nuff said.

Now, over to you to tell me 10 reasons why Romney will win...
