Mick Foley's UK Comedy Tour Announced

For many, the name Mick Foley conjures up images of steel chairs and barbed wire. Perhaps even a sock springs to mind. But there is another side to this former wrestling champion.

For many, the name Mick Foley conjures up images of steel chairs and barbed wire. Perhaps even a sock springs to mind. But there is another side to this former wrestling champion. From being a New York Times best selling author to a TV actor and personality. A self confessed roller-coaster fiend and a devoted father. Lest we forget a hardcore wrestling legend, Mick now takes to the stage as a stand up comedian.

His critically acclaimed tour comes to the UK this November and fans are already anticipating what to expect.

I have enjoyed Mick's writings for the last 12 years. Many a night has been spent chuckling at his witty anecdotes on life and its bizarre situations. It now only seems right that he takes his comedic place on centre stage.

In my mind Mick is already an accomplished comedian. From his early years in the world of wrestling, watching him enter promo-land was some of the most entertaining moments of my late teens. His fantastic writing style and the humour he brings with that only states furthermore that stand-up comedy is the right place for the Dude.

For a man who was once known as Frank. Who once watched his ear being tossed into a German waste bin and who has had a spiritual moment involving Tori Amos. I don't think he will be short of a story to tell..

I actually own a double cassette tape where Mick reads a shortened version of his first bestseller "Have a Nice Day". Might I add that Hogmany 2009 was a pleasant occasion spent with the hardcore legend and a cup of tea.

As many who are familiar with Mick Foley know, he is indeed a devoted family man and a warm hearted chap.. He always finds time in his schedule to support many of his charities.

Most recently he performed his stand up act at the Brokerage Comedy Club in Bellmore, New York in support of RAINN (Rape, Abuse, and Incest National Network).

I am waiting to hear back from Mick with regards to a small interview so stay tuned here for more information.
