Imelda came to Marie Curie Cancer Care from Carers UK where she had been Chief Executive since 2003. In 1998, Imelda joined Carers UK as Director of Development prior to that she was Chief Executive of a charity for disabled children for 10 years. She also holds a number of non executive director positions, including one at the Homerton University Hospital Foundation Trust and she is a member of the Audit Committee as well as Governor of KPMG City Academy.
