I love writing, and try to spend as much time as possible penning poems and stories as well as brainstorming blog post ideas. Recently engaged at 23 I decided to start a blog based on my experiences, called Young and Engaged http://www.youngandengaged23.blogspot.co.uk

I spend what some might consider an unhealthy amount of time buying and testing beauty products, hence my beauty blog Thoughts on Beautiful Things http://www.thoughtsonbeautifulthings.blogspot.co.uk and I also write about all kinds of other topics on my more ‘general’ life blog So this is me, Imy http://www.imogen-massey.blogspot.co.uk

I recently started researching my family tree and have so far discovered my roots lie firmly in the heart of London. I’m hoping to solve some family mysteries and uncover hidden secrets, and will be blogging about what I find, alongside any tips and tricks I pick up along the way. I’m also an Open University student studying Humanities which has proven to be another outlet for my writing, via the creative writing courses I’ve taken as part of my degree. My ambition in life is to keep on writing, be it poems, stories, blog posts or anything else that appeals at the time. I guess you could say I love working with words!

I come from a very secretive family, at least on my dad's side. My paternal grandma passed away months before I was born meaning I never got to know her or develop a true sense of who she was, and although I grew up visiting my grandpa regularly, he was...
