He is Senior Lecturer in Banking at Manchester Business School. His teaching and research interests are banking crisis, financial innovation, financialization, corporate governance, executive pay, emerging economy finance. His publications include co-authored "After the Great Complacence: Financial Innovation and Politics of Financial Reform", OUP, 2011 and "Financialization at Work: Key Texts and Commentary", Routledge 2008.
