It may be a little negative to discuss the relegation zone before the season has even started, but with all the talk about which sides will be challenging for the title next season, it only seems fair to have a look at the other end of the potential table.
With so many sides teetering on the brink of relegation last season, fans of more successful sides are looking forward to watching some of the best games of the campaign featuring the teams on this list.
Although somewhat early, here are five sides who are in for a tough season (in no particular order).
5. Aston Villa
With Aston Villa surviving by a mere win and set to lose star man Christian Benteke this summer, Villa are set for another season of misery and perhaps worse.
The Villans have very few quality individuals in their ranks and their players are almost all either still bottle feeding or eligible for a bus pass.
Although Tim Sherwood is a character, he isn't the man you want at the helm with a squad like Aston Villa's.
Having signed just two players who used to be promising youngsters in Micah Richards and Scott Sinclair, Villa are going to need a miracle if they are to enjoy a decent season.
4. Sunderland
When your key transfer target is Stewart Downing, you know that it's going to be a tough year.
Having survived on just a single win like Villa, Sunderland lacked flair, quality and most importantly, points last season.
With a manager who struggled to make up his mind whether he wanted to stay or not and an attack made up of Steven Fletcher and Danny Graham, you can bet your house that it will be another shaky season for the Black Cats.
Although Sebastian Coates is a relatively solid signing for Sunderland, it is going to take more if they are to win more than seven games like last season.
3. Newcastle
Newcastle are perhaps the most tumultuous club at the moment and if last season is anything to go by, they may be aiming to win the league in the 2016/17 season. The Championship that is.
With England's infamous umbrella-equipped manager, Steve McClaren, at the helm, Magpies fans could be calling out for John Carver come October.
A complete squad overhaul is what is needed at Newcastle, but with limited funds, a terrible, terrible owner and absolutely no business so far this summer, it could be a long old season on Tyneside.
2. Leicester
Following a scandal seemingly hand-written for tabloid newspapers that included a number of Leicester players, including the manager's son, the club aren't in the best of places following a fairly decent season last time out.
Not only this, but Nigel Pearson has also left the club and with no players coming in at the moment, things look bleak for the Foxes.
Last year was a strange one for the newly promoted side, as they beat Manchester United, before going on an unbelievably long winless run.
Second season syndrome might not even get a chance to rear its ugly head for Leicester this year, as they may do enough themselves to secure a relegation place.
1. West Brom
Possibly the biggest surprise on this list, especially considering Tony Pulis' record in the Premier League, West Brom stand to be in for a tough season thanks to a number of reasons.
Darren Fletcher and Callum McManaman may have given their midfield some solidarity that was perhaps lacking, but despite a wealth of attacking options, only four teams scored less goals than the Hawthorns side last time out.
Saido Berahino could either leave the club or more likely, fail to live up to the high expectations placed on him, as many young English players manage to do.
West Brom may have a better chance at staying up than any of the other sides on this list, but it certainly won't be an enjoyable ride for the Baggies.
