Where to Stay

The 4 Star luxury Tivoli Portimao Marina Hotel is a prime beach location perfect for a spot of sunbathing with a swimming pool, a marina deck Restaurant overlooking the views of the Pier and two bars. Enjoy a refreshing cocktail or a glass of wine with the pool and garden as the backdrop with excellent views of Portimao River. Rooms start from 150 Euro's so it's not cheap but you have the advantages of the beach being within walking distance. The Hotel staff are absolutely wonderful and the beach was immaculate with lots of restaurants along the boardwalk.

Where to Eat And Drink

Discover Portimao's famous fish restaurants located by the waterfront near the bridge and take a relaxing stroll down to the river front. Here you will find a great selection of bars, cafes and seaside restaurants offering a superb gastronomic experience. You may also want to try the Portuguese equivalent of the hamburger known as the locals favourite food Bifana made of Sautéed Pork is truly scrumptious.

Great Places to Explore

Portimão Marina

Portimão Marina Pier is just breathtaking as you take in the views of the beautiful terracotta colours surrounding you like you've never experienced anywhere else. The marina boasts a promenade of shops, restaurants and bars to keep you occupied whilst exploring the neighbourhood of Praia de Rocha. Other attractions in the area include the famous Nikki Beach Resort and Tivoli Arcade are lively and fun places to check out too.

Autodromo Internacional do Algarve's

If you want to experience the fast paced side of the Algarve then look no further because the Autodromo Internacional do Algarve's international racing circuit is based here in Portimao. Expect glamour and re-live the real Grand Prix experience as it unfolds with all the action packed motor racing on the track.

Water Sports
