Jonathan has specialised in family law since qualifying as a solicitor in 1993.

Jonathan’s practice is very much focussed on the high net worth end of the market and his expertise covers the full range, from division of assets, financial relief applications, separation agreements, pre-nuptial agreements, co-habitation breakdown and children applications, particularly for City professionals and other high net worth white collar workers.

Many of Jonathan’s cases have an international element, whether that be issues involving jurisdiction itself and the appropriate forum for any proceedings, or dealing with a variety of overseas assets themselves.
His notable cases include dealing with complex non disclosure matters and advising upon the distribution of family resources which includes substantial business assets and inherited wealth.

It is always Jonathan’s preferred course to deal with matters in an amicable and non confrontational way taking the view that it is rarely in the interests of the parties themselves to litigate. To further his experience of non court based resolution to matrimonial disputes in 2009 Jonathan trained as a collaborative lawyer.

Where necessary Jonathan is perfectly happy to represent his clients in court having received higher rights of audience some years ago.
