She is a member of the Guild of Food Writers and has contributed to all the major newspapers: The Times, The Sunday Times, The Financial Times, The Daily Telegraph and The Evening Standard. She writes a daily blog on food and books called The Armchair Kitchen.

Her book for children Lookit Cookit- Kitchen Games for Curious Children, was shortlisted for a World Gourmand Award.

Her novel, The Camel Trail, won the World Gourmand Award for Best Food Literature Book in the UK in 2007.

Judy is married with four sons, four American daughters in law and twelve grandchildren. She lives in London with her husband.
