Karen has been Director of Credos, the advertising industry’s think tank, since its formation in 2010. In December 2011 Credos published Pretty as a Picture: the culmination of a year’s research into young women’s body image and airbrushing.

Karen has a keen interest in corporate ethics, having founded the Ethical Reputation Index in 2006, an independent tracker of consumers’ ethical opinions.

In 2007, her work on ‘Conflicted Consumers’ was chosen for the Harvard Business Review: Breakthrough Ideas List, whilst other work for the ERI has been featured on BBC 2’s Newsnight, Radio 5 Live, BBC Online, The Economist, New Statesman and The Financial Times.
