It's Time for Some Girl Talk!

There are a lot of emotions spread across the tracks from friendships gone bad, love and loss - a lot for listeners to connect to. I consider the record my mission statement on what it means to be a girl, and all of my strong, controversial opinions are laced throughout.

I'm really excited to be an official blogger for The Huffington Post UK, and my very first blog happens to coincide with my third album launch, which is today!

I've been working tirelessly over the last year to produce my new record, Girl Talk. The entire album was recorded and mastered in a quirky mansion in LA with my all-girl band.

One of the songs even has a howling dog in it. I can't reveal which one. You'll have to sleuth it out via the album and let me know what you think.

It's been an amazing journey creating this album and I really feel like it is my best work to date. I went through so many things last year, and the album tells a story, actually many stories.

I wrote all of the songs, save for Lullaby For An Insomniac, which is a cappella, on the bass guitar. It's still an indie pop album filled with harmonies and melodies, but is has more of a raw punk feel.

I'm a bit older now and my style and voice has matured and after playing bass in the punk band, The Receeders, I experienced the sheer power of the instrument and really wanted to explore that.

I also wanted to challenge my voice in new ways, which comes across in quite a few of the songs with more punk vibes.

The album officially launches tonight in London at St Martins Lane, and you can now purchase the album at all record stores and online on iTunes.
