Hi, I’m Kate – mother to two boys and a blog, WitWitWoo. I am a recent English graduate and still can’t quite believe I managed to pull that one off, and I find myself even more in love with books and words after my degree than before. Not even a year of studying Shakespeare has put me off!

WitWitWoo is an eclectic mix of blog posts … from my perspective on stories in the news, reviews of films, restaurants, songs and books, anecdotes from my time spent in my favourite cafe in the whole world and you might even see videos of me singing to Beyonce. (It’s a long story.)

Minor claims to fame include: having poetry published, the odd short story (very odd on occasion) and even a radio play broadcast about Mr Shakespeare himself. I once appeared in a Vodka advertising campaign (see ‘15 Minutes,) met Gordon Burns (the King of Krypton Factor,) and went for an audition to appear on The Apprentice. I’ve worked in a dry cleaners, for a national pink newspaper and a property company in Mayfair. But what I really love to do is write. I would write all day if life didn’t get in the way.

I love my daily scone, Twitter and Jill Scott. I hate judgemental people, margarine and flies. Pointless things.

There’s a ten year age gap between my children and so having a teen and a young son can prove somewhat challenging – but I wouldn’t change it for the world.

I met my Other Half whilst having salsa lessons – he saw me dance and still wanted me.

I don't have any pets. Too high maintenance for my liking. Too much responsibility. Too much crap to deal with. Literally. Suffice to say, I'm not a fan. Don't get me wrong ... love animals from afar, just not within a two mile radius.

I'm not a dog hater. I...
