As the Thanksgiving weekend draws closer, perhaps it is a good time to review the magic 9-letter word GRATITUDE. Did you know that studies prove that this one act can make you 25 percent happier? It boosts your immunity to anger, disappointment and frustration. It's even been shown to heal pain and can certainly heal relationships, especially with your own beautiful self and miraculous body. There is nothing more powerful to change your perspective than be grateful. Amazing things happen when you just open the doors and integrate it into your daily life.

Here's a fun exercise to try.

1. As you sit down at the end of each day, breathe in deeply and imagine your heart filling up with a warm, glowing , green light. Allow this energy to pulse and radiate to light you from within. As the glow deepens in the centre of your heart, begin to give thanks for your life. Give thanks for anything that comes into your mind. Don't filter, just give your thanks and appreciation.

2. Think about five things to be grateful for on this day. Visualise these events. It may be the way your child smiled at you or that nice lady who let you jump the queue at the ticket machine. It could even be seeing the birds fly to their nests as dusk falls. Just let the images flow in and feel those emotions. When an unwanted image pops through, let it pass like a random car on the road. If it is important, you can dwell on it later.

3. Now, see the people behind the images that you are grateful for and express thanks to each of them.

4. Remind yourself that whatever you focus on, doubles. When you focus on gratitude and positivity, you will attract the same in return.

What you appreciate, appreciates.

Be mindful that you will attract more abundance, love, joy and health by being grateful for your current state in each area. Your body, your health and your relationships can only be improved by accepting and honouring where they are in this very moment.

Who says you can only express gratitude over Thanksgiving? I would love to hear how gratitude shifted a negative or bad day for you. Share with me below.
