A photographer and writer (photofeature.co.uk) specialising in documenting areas of society that are often considered to be eccentric or endangered. My overarching ambition is to ensure that Britain’s living national treasures are acknowledged by a wider audience, as can be seen in my two published books.

I love a good cup of tea and am often found popping into the strangest of places for a cuppa, a chit chat and to shoot a few Leica frames. If I am ever at a loose end in London you can find me in Liberty's ...in the haberdashery department and ... having a cup of tea in the cafe.

Currently I am working on a personal project, looking at the history of woman in motor racing and aviation whilst hoping to get on a race track soon...I fancy a spot of old fashioned glamour with all the thrills, whilst looking at these fabulous speed queens I am collecting together some contemporary woman at the same time, have a look here Girl Racers

If you would like to help my personal project become a commission you know where to find me… Lara

For once I have arrived at a motoring event during the middle of the morning, quite a leisurely time indeed and also for once I am quite undressed, I am 'without' the Leica camera. For today I am simply having a look at how the general public are...

Very often I write a diary piece about attending a concours event or a race meeting, I talk about the winners, the breakdowns and the histories of the cars or drivers, well, for once I fancy explaining the etiquette of attending an event...

Listening to Maria Callas singing Puccini's Tosca, recorded in the mid 1960's at the Royal Opera House London, I realise that the sound system in this Lexus RX450h is rather good indeed, the recording now going on for 50 years, full of scratches is a host of history...

'Snow Plough, that's it Lara, Snow Plough' words from Brenoir my ski instructor, 'Snow Plough' words which echo in me as I write today. Although I avoided skiing down a mountain in one fell swoop and arrive in a chemist at the bottom of the hill and ask for a...
