Lucy Beresford
Lucy Beresford is a writer, psychotherapist and broadcaster.

She is also the Agony Aunt for the women’s glossy Psychologies and appears each week on television and radio commenting on topical stories with a psychological edge.

Her work as a psychotherapist informs her writing, and she love the way her work allows her to witness people working towards a more fulfilling life. Her book Happy Relationships is partly inspired by the many stories she has heard over the years - at parties, on the bus, at the magazine and in her consulting room - as people grapple with the various relationships in their lives. The aim of the book is to help you fix any tricky relationships –even the one with yourself.

In the world of fiction, her first novel Something I'm Not explores what happens when we suspect we’ve made the wrong choices in life, and many of her published short stories hinge upon a moment of personal insight for the main character. She reviews fiction for Sunday Telegraph, The Spectator, Literary Review and New Statesman and is currently working on her second novel, set in a psychiatric clinic in New Delhi.
