A Formula One fan his entire life, Mat turned a passion into a profession.

He began writing about club level motor racing around his home in Sydney, progressing to national events in short order. During that time he contributed to online and print media, including Australian Motorsport News magazine as well as his own self-published eMagazine Velocity.

In 2008 he began writing for Pitpass.com, the leading independent Formula One news website. An FIA accredited journalist he travels to Grands Prix globally from his Sydney base.

To this day he continues to cover local motor sport, determined to stay loyal to those who gave him a start. Mat has also provided press releases and media management for drivers and series, as well as circuit commentary.

Mat is also an enthusiastic cyclist, having competed in a number of charity rides and club races.
