the British Film Institute's Screenonline project and his work has appeared in The Third Alternative and Cinema Retro. Since 1999 he has been one of the main DVD and Blu Ray reviewers for The Digital Fix, specialising in classic American cinema but also writing about subjects ranging from Ingmar Bergman to Lucio Fulci.
